  • (c) A straight angle
  • (b) An obtuse angle
  • (d) A reflex angle

(ii) The angles of a triangle are in the ratio 2:3:4. The largest angle of the triangle is

  • (a) 120°
  • (b) 100°
  • (c) 80°
  • (d) 60°

(iii) The base of an isosceles triangle is 16 cm and its area is 48 cm2. The perimeter of the triangle is

  • (a) 41 cm
  • (b) 36 cm
  • (c) 48 cm
  • (d) 324 cm

(iv) If two lines intersect each other then the vertically opposite angles are

  • (a) equal
  • (b) unequal
  • (c) can not be determined
  • (d) none of these

(v) The base of a right triangle is 8 cm and the hypotenuse is 10 cm. Its area will be

  • (b) 18cm²
  • (c) 6cm²
  • (d) 80cm²

2. State True or False-

(i) A reflex angle is more than 180°.

(ii) If two complementary angles are in the ratio 13:5, then the angles are 65° and 25°.

(iii)The sides opposite to equal angles of a triangle are equal.

(iv) Semi perimeter (s) = a +b+c

(v) If a side of a triangle is produced, the exterior angle so formed is equal to the sum of the two interior opposite angles.

(vi) The measure of an angle which is 24° more than its complement is 57°.

SECTION — B (2 Marks each)

3. Find the measure of an angle, if seven times its complement is 10° less than three times its supplement.

4. The sides of a triangle are 35 cm, 54 cm, and 61 cm respectively. Find the length of its largest altitude.

5. The difference between the sides at right angles in a right-angled triangle is 14 cm. The area of the triangle is 120cm². Calculate the perimeter of the triangle.

6. Find the area of an isosceles triangle each of whose equal sides is 13 cm and whose base is 24 CM.

7. In fig. if x+y = w+z, then prove that AOB is a line

8. In fig. If AB || CD, Angle APQ =50° and Angle PRO =127°. Find x and y.
