1. What is Powerpoint used for?

Ans. It is software that is used for creating effective multimedia presentations. It helps us to create dynamic slide presentations that can include animation, narration, images, and videos.

2. Define a slide?

Ans. A slide can be defined as an electronic page or a digital page of a presentation.

3. What are placeholders?

Ans. Placeholders are boxes with a dotted outline that serves as containers for text and objects that we can add to the slide.

4. What is the default layout of the first slide and second slide?

Ans. The default layout of the first slide is the Title slide and for the second is the Title and Content.

5. How can you change the layout of a slide?

Ans. To change the layout of the slide, click on the Layout button in the slides group of the Home Tab, and select the desired layout from the displayed list 

or 

Right-click and there you will find a layout option, change the layout from there.

6. How can you save a presentation in PDF format?

Ans. 

  • Click on the File menu and select the Save as option.
  • The Save as dialogue box will open. Select the location where you want to save the PDF file.
  • Enter the name in the file name text box.
  • Select the PDF option in Save as type list box.
  • Click on the Save button. Your presentation will be saved in PDF format.

7. What is a slide show?

Ans. A slide show is a sequential display of slides that is shown to the audience with an objective of providing information and exchanging ideas and views on a particular topic.

8. Name the 3 options that you can see in the message box while closing a presentation.

Ans. 

  • SAVE - The presentation is saved then closed
  • DONT'T SAVE - The presentation is closed and all the recent modifications are lost.
  • CANCEL - Nothing happens and you return to the presentation.
