1. What are the two parts of an E-mail address? Briefly explain each of them.
Ans. Two parts of an email address are as follows:
- User name: It is the name of a person's account which can be an actual name or an alphanumeric string.
- Domain name: It is the location on the person's account on the Internet separated by a period(it is actually the website name of the email service provider).
For example: In example@gmail.com, (example) is the username, and (gamil.com) is the domain name separated by @ ('at') symbol.
2. Why is E-mail so popular over conventional mails?
Ans. Email is popular over conventional mail due to the following reasons:
- The cost of sending an electronic message is less.
